The "Real" Dirt on Farming -
The People in Canadian Agriculture Answer Your Questions

April, 2006 - Anyone who is interested in where their food comes from and the facts on farming in Canada can find it in a new document released today.  ”The ‘Real’ Dirt on Farming – The People in Canadian Agriculture Answer your Questions” resource booklet,  has been published by the Ontario Farm Animal Council (OFAC).  Students, educators, politicians and the media who want to know more about the issues in agriculture, such as farm animal care or food safety will all find this 36 page full-colour booklet to be a helpful resource.

This new document was designed to update OFAC’s original Food for Thought publication and includes current information about Canadian agriculture, its traditions, changing trends and ideas for the future.

The project’s various funding partners include many national and provincial agricultural organizations as well as Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada through the Agricultural Adaptation Council’s CanAdvance Program.

The resource is also available on OFAC’s websites at www.ofac.org and www.farmissues.com.  Copies will be sold at a cost of $2 per copy through the OFAC office.
